Cannes Day 2

Its a day of sightseeing. The girls peeled off shopping whilst Harry and I were tourists along the water front. People watching is the great sport here. Lots of very expensive cars here. Having a Porsche doesn’t cut the mustard here. Its Lambos, Ferraris, Bentleys and Rollers here. As you’d expect, things are a tad expensive here. 200 to 500 euro shoes etc. Harry and I stumped up 75 Euros for lunch and 2 beers! Tasty but not that tasty. Harry and I found the Palais des Festivals which is where the Cannes Film Festival is held. Couple of photos on the red carpet and it was time to head back as it was getting pretty warm.

Back to the room for a much needed chill in the aircon and a snooze. Just about to fall asleep when they cameo clean the room. Blast! So headed downstairs to the bar for a drink instead. The girls returned with their spoils. Deb and I then set off to get something for dinner as the Stocks decided to eat at the hotel. I am a bit over the Fromage, creme diet. We found a chinese restaurant which was actually very good. 50 Euros and all good.

Harry and I watched the EUAFA finals between Liverpool and Real Madrid. Alas Liverpool lost 3 -1 but Madrid was the better team on the day.

Very early start tomorrow at 0600 hrs as we fly to Corsica.
